Open house Wednesday for Dr. McKimm

An open house will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 5. from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Emporium Health Center. Charles Cole Memorial Hospital is hosting the event to welcome Dr. Scott McKimm and his staff to the Sizerville Road location.

Free health screenings will be offered including total blood cholesterol, random blood sugar, blood pressure and body fat composition. In addition, free heel scans to screen for osteoporosis will be offered. For children, the hospital is offering Kid Care Photo ID. Refreshments will be served.

Dr. McKimm, through his partnership with Jill McKimm, known as Allegheny Health Initiatives (AHI), and his staff have been providing family health services at the Emporium Health Center since July, when he relocated his medical practice from its downtown Emporium location. Dr. McKimm and Crista Bennett, PA-C have joined providers Christina Jones, D.O. (currently on maternity leave) and Kathy Kautz, PA-C.

In addition to the family medicine clinic, the Emporium Health Center also houses the George Erskine Wellness and Rehabilitation Center offering physical therapy and a fitness center. The medical clinic has X-ray and audiology capabilities
