Cherry Springs State Park Naturalist Liz Helms went batty Saturday night as she hosted a program about one of Pennsylvania's most misunderstood and underappreciated species. Helms emphasized how bats are needlessly feared and beneficial to humans, particularly when it comes to controlling mosquitos and other insects. Helms also discussed the park's history and presented a program about the moon. Cherry Springs State Park will be busy this weekend, with solar viewing and stargazing, among other programs.
