Sentenced Potter County court Four men were recently sentenced during proceedings in Potter County Court. Jason Critchfield, 28, of Coudersport was ordered to spend one month to 19 months in the Potter County Jail, perform 25 hours of community service, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation, and pay costs and fees. He was convicted of attempting to acquire a controlled substance by misrepresentation. Critchfield was arrested in January when a pharmacist informed Coudersport Borough Police that the defendant tried to obtain a pain-killer with a prescription which was not written for him. Charles Marsh, 21, Coudersport, was ordered to spend six months to 18 months in jail, perform 25 hours of community service and pay costs and fees for driving under the influence of alcohol and summary traffic violations. Those charges stemmed from an incident in Roulette Township in September 2006. George Sams, 38, of Austin pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct for an incident taking place in March 2. He was charged with harassing a neighbor, both at her home and along a road. He'll be sentenced on Sept. 5. Derick Taft, 22, of Oswayo will be sentenced Sept. 19 after pleading guilty to DUI. He was arrested on Jan. 19 by state police, who came upon his car stopped in the middle of an intersection at a traffic signal in Coudersport. Chemical testing revealed a blood alcohol level of twice the legal limit. |
