Church to host Focus Quartet
Southern Gospel group coming to Emporium

A true southern gospel quartet will bring its rich vocal harmony to Emporium on Saturday, Sept. 15, for a free performance at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

Recording artists Focus Quartet consists of talented vocalists who share their faith in God through song. They'll perform at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary, located on Sizerville Road, north of Emporium. The public is welcome.

Quartet founder John Ayers of Erie says the group came together from varied backgrounds to create a whole sound that leaves audiences asking for more.

"God put each of us in the right place at the right time," Ayers said. "We are not four men singing and we are not in it for the entertainment. The foundation of our music is ministry."

"At our concerts, you may laugh, you may cry and you may enjoy yourself," he added. "Our hope and prayer is that you will be drawn close to the heart of God."
