James Tompkins

James R. Tompkins, 80, of Girard, formerly of Bradford, died Thursday (Sept. 6, 2007). He was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Emporium.

He was the son of Paul and Amy Hertig Tompkins. On July 25, 1953, he married Joan Kronenwetter, who survives.

A service was held at Koch Chatley Gaeto Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Great Lakes Hospice, McKean County SPCA or the American Cancer Society.
