Raider golfers on a roll

Cameron County improved to 6-2 overall, including a 6-1 Penn-York League record, with a 37 1/2 to 17 1/2 boys' golf win over Coudersport.

Josh Strahl came through with a solid round of 40 to lead the winners. Other Red Raider scorers were Jon Lundberg (43), Vinnie Brown (44), Grant Vassallo (45) and Rich Farren (46).

In the same match, Coudersport (5-3) defeated Austin, 34-21. Andrew Mickle led the Falcons with a 44, followed by John Hau (47) and Aaron Chisholm (48). Zach Jeffers fired a 45 for Austin.

Cameron County also beat Coudersport, 30-25, last Thursday. Vassallo (45) and Brown (45) led the winners.

Many local teams are off to the Bradford Invitational on Saturday.
