JV Storm now 5-0

Following in the footsteps of the school's varsity, junior varsity and junior high teams, the Cameron County Storm JV squad is undefeated as the 2007 season rolls along.

On Saturday, the Storm JV improved to 5-0 with a dominating performance against the Johnsonburg Shamrocks. Final score was 25-0. The Storm controlled the game on both sides of the ball. Jon Cook made a big tackle down the stretch to preserve the shutout.

Among the offensive highlights were a 95-yard run on a quarterback keeper by Nate Sestina and Brandon Saline's 71-yard TD run. Those two also connected on a 52- yard touchdown pass.

The Storm varsity lost to Johnsonburg, 43-0.

On Sept. 1, the Storm JV won a 14-13 thriller over the DuBois Panthers. Trae Smith made a game-saving tackle just before the final horn sounded. The varsity was defeated by DuBois, 40-6.
