Emporium Rotary Club Raffle

Emporium Rotary Club raffled off a hand-made quilt to raise funds for Veterans Memorial Park. Winner Jan Creighton (above) of Whitehall bought her ticket from Jane Malek, a co-worker at the Westinghouse plant in that community and the sister of Rotarian Shirley Condon. Jan, who is also active in community affairs, said that as much as she loves the quilt, she plans to donate it to her church in Whitehall to be raffled again as a fund-raiser.
