Local girl killed in crash Cameron County residents are mourning the death of 18- year-old Kaylee Harford, 2007 Cameron County High School graduate. She was killed in a onevehicle Thursday night on the Cresson-Loretta Road. A St. Francis University freshman, Harford was a back seat passenger. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Cambria County Deputy Coroner Jeffrey Lees. Four other St. Francis students were in the car. Three were admitted to Altoona Regional Trauma Center. The students were on their way back to campus at Loretto after eating supper off-campus, The vehicle went off the road, over a 12-foot embankment and hit a tree broadside. Police said the driver was unfamiliar with the road. The pavement may have been wet and conditions foggy. Police also said alcohol or drugs were not a factor. Harford was among the passengers who were not wearing seat belts. The investigation is continuing by Cresson Township Police and the Pa. State Police.
