Esther Anderegg

Esther L. Anderegg, 93, formerly of Emporium, died Tuesday (Sept. 25, 2007) in Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys.

Born Dec. 8, 1913 in Wheeling, W. Va., she was the daughter of Fred and Lodema Handley Serena. On July 4, 1930, in Shinglehouse, she married William F. Anderegg, who died Feb. 2, 1974.

A resident of Emporium since 1954, Mrs. Anderegg was employed by Metal Wire Recovery in Driftwood and as a nurse's aide at the Guy and Mary Felt Manor in Emporium. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Emporium.

She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Mrs. Anderegg is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Phillis) Lowmiller of Wellsboro and Mary Hadden of St. Marys; 15 grandchildren; 30 great- grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by one son, Earl Anderegg; one daughter, Doris Bennett; one grandson, Brian Bennett; a brother, Clell Serena; a sister, Doris Franz; and a greatgranddaughter, Cheryl Heck.

Friends will be received in the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium, Saturday, Sept. 29, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at which time funeral and commital services will be held with the Rev. Bruce Burkness, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Emporium.
