For CHS, CCHS jr. high, JV teams fours are wild What are the odds that two football teams from the same school would win their games by identical scores in the same week? Cameron County's junior high squad improved to 4-0 with a 44-0 drubbing of visiting Coudersport Thursday night. The Red Raiders jumped out to a 36-0 lead before halftime. Jason Blose had a 67-yard punt return for a touchdown and Vince Summers returned an interception 32 yards to set up Joey Holjencin's 11-yard TD run. Speaking of fours, last week Cameron County's junior high traveled to Curwensville and rolled to a 44-0 halftime lead, finally leaving town with a 44- 14 victory. The junior high Raiders return to action next Thursday at Port Allegany (4:00). Meanwhile, a 44-0 win at Curwensville Monday night gave Cameron County's junior varsity football team a 3-0 record on the season, heading into Monday night's game at Coudersport (6:00). Kyle McManigle ignited the Red Raider offense, running for three touchdowns and passing to Andy Lippert for a fourth. A pass from Andrew Kesterholt to Brent Munz produced another touchdown. Tyler Johnson also scored a touchdown. |
