Emporium Rotary Club presented $1,100 from its quilt raffle to the Big Flag Committee. Money will be used for maintenance at the memorial park on the town's west end. In other recent Rotary business, members received an exchange flag from the Hickory (N.C.) Rotary Club. They also agreed to donate $100 to the Quarterback Club to help defray the cost of dinners for football players and coaches and $250 to Cameron County Historical Society for equipment. Rotarians will also be buying a hammock swing seat for the school playground.
