Adelphia building bids due

With the bid deadline nearing, a number of real estate investors and potential employers have shown an interest in what was once a plush $30 million headquarters for Adelphia Communications Corp. in downtown Coudersport.

Several prospective buyers have recently toured the former Adelphia Operations Building on South Main Street.

It's on the block with a bid deadline of Thursday. The sale is being conducted through an Internet real estate auction specialist, LFC Online. So far, only one bid -- for $1,000,001 -- has been received.

LFC Online is also selling most other remaining Adelphia real estate assets around the country. Among the Coudersport listings are the former Job Center on West Second Street and the former International Paper Company buildings on East Second Street.

Available properties are being auctioned through LFC's website (lfc.com).
