Meeting on deer herd Thursday

Young hunters will be able to participate in a mentored pheasant hunt in Elk County Oct. 6-12. It is sponsored by the Elk County chapter of Pheasants Forever at Johnson Run near Elbon.

Hunt is open to those ages 12 to 16 who have successfully completed a hunter-trapper education course, and there is no requirement that they purchase a hunting license. For more information, contact Leon Blashock at 885-8950.
