Educational opportunities provided through a St. Marys-based organization are touching hundreds of lives each year. Donna Kilhoffer (left) from the Community Education Council discussed the origins and operations of CEC during a recent Emporium Rotary Club meeting. Started a quarter-century ago in a small part of the Chamber of Commerce office, CEC now occupies the former Kantner Building and is linked with Penn State DuBois, Pitt Bradford, Gannon, Clearfield Tech and other schools. Kilhoffer is shown with program chair Linda Reid. She and another Emporium Rotarian, Becky Pasquinelli, serve on the CEC board of directors.
