Coudersport Rotary planning Halloween activities

Coudersport Rotary Club is sponsoring the community's Halloween Parade once again this year. Members discussed details at this week's meeting.

Marchers will step off at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, and can begin lineup at 1:30. Prizes will be awarded in singles, doubles and group categories.

Because the former Coudersport Elementary School gymnasium on West and Main streets, now owned by the county, is not available, Rotary will hold the postparade party and costume awards ceremony at the gazebo.

Trick or Treat is Halloween night (Wednesday, Oct. 31) from 6 p.m. until porch lights are turned off. Tag Day to raise money for the Halloween events is Saturday, Oct. 20, starting at 12:30 p.m.

In other recent Rotary news, Brenda Coffey and Marcia Lagrua were accepted as new club members. Club President Bob "Smitty" Smith announced that the club's Antiques Roadshow, scheduled for Nov. 3, has been postponed.
