An audience participation night will close out this year's Songwriters Roundtable series at Ski Denton in central Potter County.
Roundtable regulars Steve Quelet and Eppie Bailey will join bassist Judy Shunk as the host band, Jakobs Hollow. Several other local favorites are also expected to drop by. The program runs from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5.00 for children. A "no belly left behind" burrito dinner is available for $8.00 (adults) and $5.00 (children).
"Any area musician is welcome to bring along an instrument or two and take the stage," said Quelet, a Philadelphia area folk singer and songwriter who relocated to Potter County and is a regular on the local music scene. "We have a lot of talent residing right here in Potter County and the surrounding communities."
Ski Denton's lodge provides a cozy, coffeehouse-style atmosphere for the Songwriters Roundtable. It's located along Rt. 6, between Coudersport and Galeton, across from the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum.
Quelet said the work of two local visual artists will be featured: Nanci McKee-Turker, with fine art painting, beadwork, jewelry; and Jennifer Adams, using various painting and drawing mediums.
Musicians who would like to perform on Nov. 3 are asked to contact Quelet in advance at steve@songwritersroundtable.com or 274-9336.
"We've had our most successful season yet for the Songwriters Roundtable," Quelet said. "It has given local music fans a chance to see some nationally known performers and now it's time to show a little more of what the locals can do."
