Barbershop harmony in air Nov. 10

SEP, one of the best quartets in the nation, will perform in Coudersport Nov. 10.
Barbershop harmony will ring out at the Coudersport High School auditorium on Saturday, Nov. 10, as the combined barbershop choruses from Olean and Coudersport present "The Music Man and More!"

They'll be marking the 50th anniversary of Meredith Wilson's famous Broadway production, "The Music Man," which popularized barbershop harmony across the country. An award-winning movie of the same name featured the legendary quartet, the Buffalo Bills.

Three barbershop quartets will be featured in a program that gets underway at 7:30 p.m. They include the famous SEP (Saturday Evening Post) Quartet, an international finalist; Geneva Convention and Keystone Express.

Chorus numbers will also be featured. Barbershoppers from Olean and Coudersport have been rehearsing for several weeks to prepare for a show that will feature diverse selections, from silly to sentimental.

Advance tickets are available at Hauber's Jewelry in Coudersport at $8.00 each or $6.00 each for groups of four or more. Tickets will be $10 at the door. Children under the age of 12 will be admitted for free.
