Drug charges pending
A Williamsport woman is facing drug charges, pending results of tests being conducted by the Pa. State Police Crime Lab in Erie.
State police locally say Jenny E. Baylor, 24, is expected to be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Items with suspected residue of cocaine and heroin were removed from a vehicle belonging to Baylor during a traffic stop, police said. She'll also be charged with allowing a person with suspended license privileges to operate her vehicle.
Smashed windshield
Police in Emporium Borough continue to investigate an act of vandalism. Someone smashed the windshield on a vehicle owned by Roma C. Suladie. Replacement cost was estimated at $600.
License plate taken
Somebody made off with the license place of a pickup truck owned by Joseph L. Cherry of Genesee last weekend.
The plate bears number YMD4930. Pa. State Police from Denton Hill are investigating.
Insulation missing
Twenty pieces of Green Guard brand insulation were stolen last Sunday from Cherry Springs State Park in Potter County.
Police at Denton Hill said the insulation, valued at $400, belonged to Lobar Construction of Dillsburg.
DUI arrests
State police from Denton Hill report arrests of three men on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.
While traveling East Fork Road in Wharton Township, John F. Covington, 49, of Salladesburg, lost control of his 2001 Toyota Tacoma and it rolled onto its roof. Covington, who was uninjured, was found to be DUI.
William J. Smith of Edinboro was cited after being stopped along Ridge Road in Abbott Township for multiple traffic violations.
Steven P. Rhoads was found to be under the influence after being stopped by police on Rt. 6 in Ulysses Township.
Bad checks
State police at Denton Hill have filed charges of writing bad checks against eight people after investigating complaints from Reed's Market in Genesee.
A total of 18 counts were reported, leading to charges against Edward A. Perigo, Rebecca L. Palumbo, Misty M. Sharp, Blaine W. Hunt, April R. Trowbridge, and Paula J. Jordan.
Escapes injury
Jeremy D. Reed, 25, of Coudersport, escaped serious injury after he lost control of his vehicle while driving on Rt. 144 in Stewardson Township, Potter County, last week.
After spinning around clockwise, the car struck a drainage culvert and traveled up an embankment.
Robbery at state park
State police from Emporium continue their investigation into a theft at Sinnemahoning State Park. Someone took $154 in cash from a locked safe.
Medication stolen
Police in Emporium have released few detauls of a prescription drug theft taking place sometime last Monday or Tuesday. An Emporium resident told police the medication was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.
