Raider Jr. High team unbeaten

Cameron County should be able to continue its outstanding varsity football success for many years to come, based on the performance of this year's junior high and junior varsity squads.

The Red Raiders polished off an 8-0 season last week with a 42-14 win over visiting Ridgway. Quarterback Jason Blose fired four touchdown passes, two of them to Jason Shaw.

Vince Summers and Ryan Grimm were the other recipients. Blose also ran 64 yards for a TD. Cameron County got a five-yard touchdown run from Andrew Fragale.

Defensive leaders included Mark Schweikart, with seven tackles and a sack; Summers (six tackles), Fragale and Brandon Kite, five tackles each and Seth McFall (interception).

Cameron County's junior varsity team was also undefeated this season. Sheffield forfeited the scheduled season finale.
