New pastor for Presbyterians, Lutherans

A shared ministry arrangement is now in place between two Protestant congregations in Coudersport.

The Rev. Evon Lloyd McJunkin has accepted the joint ministry for the First United Presbyterian Church and the St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Both congregations approved the plan earlier this month.

As part of the arrangement, the Presbyterian Church is changing the time of its weekly worship service to 9:45 a.m. Sundays.

Rev. McJunkin previously served the Perkins Presbyterian Church in Erie and the First Prebyterian Church of Girard.

She succeeds the Rev. Deana Armstrong from the Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Joseph Wolf from the Lutheran Church, both of whom moved from the area.
