Team effort for watershed

Members of the Bucktail Watershed Association and the Flynn family recently planted hundreds of trees on a streambank near the Emporium Country Club.

The crew put 225 trees in protective tubes and planted another 500 willow cuttings as part of a bank stabilization project coordinated by the Cameron County Conservation District and the property owner. An eroding section of streambank was rebuilt and log deflector devices were placed in the Driftwood Branch of the Sinnemahoning Creek.
