Sr. Center party open to everyone 60 and older
 | | Senior citizens attending last year's Christmas Party opened gifts and enjoyed refreshments and camaraderie. There's plenty on tap for this year's party, set for Dec. 15 and open to everyone 60 and up. |

A local tradition, the Emporium Senior Center Christmas Party, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the center on South Maple Street. It's open to everyone age 60 and up.
There will be food, games, door prizes, gifts and music. Spokesman Ken Ostrum said the party is an opportunity for the center to thank the community for its support and to introduce the center's activities to potential members. There is no admission charge and reservations are not required.
"The center is a place to relax and to feel part of one big happy family," Ostrum said. "It's a place where you can enjoy a continental breakfast, a cup of coffee or tea and some good conversation. Please take advantage of this opportunity to check out the exciting, educational and just plain fun things going on."
Among the center's services and activities are inexpensive and nutritional lunches, homedelivered meals, bingo, card games, medical check-ups, special speakers, exercise programs, and Internet access.
"The Emporium Senior Center truly is a cornerstone of our community," Ostrum said.
