Coudersport school board reorganizes

Tim Watson was re-elected president of the Coudersport Area School District Board of Directors Monday night during the board's annual reorganizational meeting.

Also elected were Joe Lagrua, vice president, and Bob Benson, treasurer.

New board members Scott Bruzzi, Marcia Lagrua Jones, Drew Robinson and Micki Brown were welcomed during Monday's session. David Long and Al Barry round out the nine-member board.

In other business, the board agreed to reschedule the inservice day from Jan. 21 to a new date of Jan. 15. Students will have the day off, while teachers will receive instruction from an expert on mainstreaming students with special needs, as required by law.

Board members also discussed the scheduling of budget meetings, leading to formal adoption of the district's 2008-09 operating budget early next year. At this time, administrators are expecting to hold the line on real estate taxes next year.
