He's not only the host of the 2007 Big Woods Whitetail Classic buck contest, he's a contestant, too. That's Glen Boyd who with his wife owns the Beef & Ale House in Coudersport, the site of the first Big Woods Whitetail Classic. He shot this nice 8-point the opening morning, after watching him through archery season. About 75 bucks, many of them as big or bigger than this one, have been entered into the contest. If you like looking at the bucks that have been taken, come to the Beef & Ale House and check out the official roster. It has buck stats as well full-color pictures of all the bucks and the hunters who shot them. Boyd's is a beauty, to be sure, but it wouldn't place in the top 10 in this contest. That's how many hogs have been entered. The roster is in the downstars portion of the restaurant/bar. The Beef & Ale House is located at the intersection of Routes 872 and 6 in east Coudersport.
