JCPenney issue on Chamber agenda A member of the Renaissance Committee that has been working for the longterm betterment of the community will be guest speaker at Tuesday's meeting of the Coudersport Area Chamber of Commerce. Tom Lamb, who is involved in information technology and fund development at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, will discuss several topics at the monthly membership meeting, to be held at 8:30 am in the Hotel Crittenden dining room. All Chamber affiliates and other interested citizens are welcome. Lamb is among Renaissance Committee members who have been working on a broad-based appeal to the corporate leaders at JCPenney to keep open their Coudersport store, which is slated to close in February. If time allows, he will be showing a video of the appeal that was produced by the committee, working with videographer Rich Esposito, to be delivered to JCPenney executives. The speaker will also discuss other Renaissance Committee activities, as well as his responsibilities at Cole Hospital. A buffet-style breakfast is available starting at 8:30 for a modest donation, with the program scheduled to start at about 8:45. |
