Nichols head of Dem Committee

Norma Cobb Nichols of Sweden Township has returned as chair of the Potter County Democratic Committee. She succeeds Bruce Robbins of Coudersport, who resigned.

Nichols has long been active in party activities and community affairs. She has been honored for her decades of service to the American Legion Auxiliary at Coudersport's Post 192 and also volunteers at The Christmas House.

In agreeing to return to the Democratic leadership post after serving as vice-chair, Nichols said she is hoping for greater participation by Democrats in each of Potter County's 33 voting districts.

"I'm asking all Democrats to support our party by attending meetings and becoming more active," she said. "I strongly feel that we need to support our candidates."
