Meals program needs help

Potter County Area Agency on Aging is looking for donations to its Holiday Meals Program, which ensures older residents who need a meal receive one.

Each week, nearly 80 homebound seniors who are unable to cook for themselves receive hot or frozen nutritious lunches delivered to their homes.

Many recipients live alone, are bedridden, disabled, lack of support system to help with meal preparation or can't afford to purchase nutritious food.

Those making a donation will receive five winter scene holiday cards depicting scenes from across Potter County.

Anyone looking to make a donation should make checks payable to Potter County AAA and send to Potter County Human Services, Area Agency on Aging, c/o Holiday Meals, P.O. Box 241, Roulette PA 16746.
