CCHS wrestlers snowed out

Cameron County's varsity wrestling team was raring to bolt from the starting gate, but Mother Nature had other ideas.

Thursday's cancellation of school also nixed the wrestling season debut against Bradford. No make-up date was announced.

Instead, the Red Raiders of coach Scott Baker will head right into rugged competition as they lift the lid on the 2007- 08 season at the Kane Duals on Saturday.

Their debut on the home mat will be next Tuesday against Oswayo Valley. Then they'll travel to St. Marys Public next Friday.

Among returning lettermen are senior Taylor Songer (30- 5, 152); juniors Mike Baker (29-7, 160) and Randy Schatz (27-8, 140) and sophomore Dom Manginell (26-9, 119).
