CCHS will host band festival

Cameron County High School has been selected to host the Pa. Music Educators Assn. District 2 Band Festival, set for Jan. 9-12.

Several musicians from the host school will be participating: Matthew Franceus, trombone; Vicky Lippert, flute; Emily Crowell, clarinet; Anna McFall, tuba; Miranda Schalles, euphonium; Amanda Pries, alto sax; Tara O'Neill, tenor sax; Caitlin Miller, clarinet; Shelly Sharrow, clarinet; and Katrina Reid, flute.

Guest conductor will be Dr. Jack Stamp from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Approximately 160 students from 40 schools are expected to participate. A committee is seeking housing for the students for three nights; transportation to and from school, and breakfast each morning.
