Artist donates works to ADMA
      A Potter County artist with an appreciation of history has donated one of his works to the Austin Dam Memorial Assn. The colorful painting of the ruins of the Bayless Dam is on display in the ADMA room at the E. O. Austin Home Historical Museum in downtown Austin.

Genealogy club airing movie
      Cameron County Genealogy Club will honor the memory of former club member Sandra Lyon with the showing of a family research-related movie at a meeting next month. The History Channel's "Family Tree" will be playing at 10 am Jan. 5 at the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library.

Solid Waste Authority gets grant
      Potter County Solid Waste Authority has received a $3,142 grant from the state to help cover expenses of recycling operations based at the transfer station near Gold. The grant was calculated on recycling collections in 2005.
