TURBINE ISSUE BLOWS INTO COURTHOUSE
      It took 37 hours for the wind turbine discussion to blow from the Potter County Planning Commission meeting to the board of commissioners. For over a year, the planning commission discussed the restrictions that would be placed on the turbines. The amendments were passed Tuesday night and final copy needs to be reviewed before making its way to the courthouse.

SENTENCED IN POTTER COUNTY COURT
      Sentencing of a Coudersport woman in Potter County Court represented the latest chapter in a long legal saga surrounding the physical abuse of a young girl almost two years ago. Judge John B. Leete placed 49-year-old Dorothy Buchanan on probation for 18 months for making false reports to law enforcement and unsworn falsification.

'911' groundwork continues
      Potter County's "field verification process" for the Enhanced 911 emergency response system continues. Once it's complete, the system allow fire, ambulance and other emergency personnel to instantly pinpoint location, telephone number, and occupant information whenever 911 is dialed.

Man jailed on sex-related charges
      A Potter County man faces jail time on multiple charges for allegedly having sex with a child and possessing child pornography. State police at Denton Hill filed the charges against 22-yearold Christopher Inzana of Genesee last week.
