A 12-3 win over Berwick Monday night gave the DuBois All-Stars the state title as Emporium once again hosted the Pa. Senior Little League State Tournament (ages 15- 16). Each of the eight tournament qualifiers brought enthusiastic cheering sections during the round-robin preliminaries and the championship round. Many local fans pulled for the talented DuBois squad. Three members of Coudersport's 2007-08 boys' basketball team will continue their careers at the collegiate level. Blair Heimel has committed to Lycoming College in Williamsport. The son of Paul and Lugene Heimel, the 6-6 center will play for first-year head coach Guy Rancourt. More ... Coudersport Area High School graduate Ryan Jones will continue his academic and athletic career at Juniata College, where he will compete for the men's basketball team.
