GATOR RUNNERS EDGE FALCONS

One slender point spelled defeat for the boys' cross country team at Coudersport High School Tuesday when Port Allegany came to town.

Led by Justin Lewis (19:17), the Gators scored a 28-29 victory. Falcon David DuPont (20:23) and Steve Forney (20:42) finished third and fourth, respectively. Also in the top seven were Gage Wright and Michael Hogan.

Port Allegany was unable to field a full team in the girls' match, where Emily Giannotti (19:25) and Allison Giannotti (20:38) were first across the finish line.

Allyson Elliott placed fourth, while Marina Snyder took fifth. Also in the top eight were Sarah Hutcheson and Brielle Whitman.
