Girls' golf teams prepare

Athletes from three area schools warmed up for this week's PIAA District 9 girls' golf tournament with a match at the Emporium Country Club on Monday.

Coudersport beat Cameron County, 32-23, while Cameron County edged Smethport, 28.5 to 26.5.

Smethport's April Alfieri was the medalist with a round of 45. Coudersport was led by Angela Smoulder (49), Hannah Fink (53) and Keri Hamilton (56). Cameron County's Bre Dunsmore fired a 50, while Sydney Williams and Carly Stuart each carded a 58.
