      My new, workday view is an extraordinary one in the most literal sense. It is very much out of the ordinary, out of course and special to a marked degree. For 11 years, I labored in Emporium, a town I have grown to love and, in many ways, know better than my own hometown.

      You all missed your chance to nominate me for President, so I guess we will have to put up with whatever the good Lord sends us. I can't imagine why neither candidate has failed to contact me for my solutions to all the problems the U.S. is having. Common sense is the answer, but there are too many eggheads in Washington who have no common sense.

      Senior Center Needs Help To the editor: Emporium Senior Center is grateful for the grants that have resulted in completion of projects over the past three years. The selection of our center for the GE/Motor Coils work project this year vastly improved the center's appearance, inside and out.
