OLD FASHIONED HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARTY OCT. 18

Hemlock Springs Historic Crafts and Cultural Arts Center in Keating Summit is holding an old-fashioned Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 3-7 pm. The center is located at 72 Mitcheltree Hollow Lane.

There will be a costume contest with prizes for scariest, funniest, cutest, most creative and most traditional. Halloween art contests will be held for: miniature scarecrows (under 12 inches), handcrafted paper mache, carved pumpkins or gourds (including creations from the Sizerville State Park Fall Festival or Coudersport Falling Leaves Festival), and painted pumpkins and gourds.

Attendees can enjoy a local ghost story, stroll through the haunted habitat, and dunk for apples. Refreshments are also available. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for children under 16, free for children under age two. Reservations are required by calling 545-1205; deadline is Oct. 12.
