Another beautiful October weekend has come and gone and I still believe there is something wrong with the clocks. Time goes by so fast on the weekends that I am convinced the clocks speed up. I was going to rake leaves on Sunday, but it was too nice out and the leaves weren't all down yet anyhow. Like my wife said, "They will be there tomorrow. More ... "Mr. Sun" had finally shattered the steel grey of Saturday's sky. My four-year-old son announced the arrival of the long-shadow-casting rays just before 11am as we started up an old logging road into a massive oak stand. The morning had been spent having a picnic in the truck, along a country road, waiting for the earth to warm. More ... We are blessed to be able to send a check to the church to cover one month's fuel bill. That amounts to approximately $250. We therefore have the entire balance in our bank account. More ...
