Dr. Douglas Bowman, a respected family physician with a long affiliation at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, lost his life in a freak accident Tuesday night in McKean County. State police from Denton Hill reported that Bowman, 61, was plowing snow near his home with a tractor when the vehicle tipped off a bridge and into a small creek, coming to rest on top of him.
