      New coach Brian McCusker takes his Coudersport boys' basketball team to the Bradford Tip-Off Tournament next Friday and Saturday, debuting a new approach after losing experience and height to graduation.

Coudersport wrestling: 35 years later
      This season marks 35 years since Jack Fleckenstein and Paul Simcoe started Coudersport High School's wrestling program. Coach Thad Taylor, now in his third season, expects this year's youthful team to improve on the 2-17 record of 2007-08.

     A young Penn State DuBois women's basketball team, coached by Emporium's Pat Lewis, traveled to Monroeville to face the Community College of Allegheny County Boyce campus on Saturday and beat the Saints, 61-39. Lauren Donovan (Oswayo Valley) scored 10 points and Whitney Lewis (Cameron County) hauled in seven rebounds for the Lions. PSU DuBois fell to 1-3 with a 73-46 loss to Westmoreland Community College on Monday.
