Benjamin Michael Wackwitz was the 2008 "New Year's Baby" at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, arriving at 8:55 pm on Jan. 1. He is sleeping in the arms of his mother, Sandra Kelly while his father, Melvin Wackwitz Jr., and big sister Alexis Marie look on. The family lives in Shinglehouse. Also shown are OB nurses Sara Keck and Judy Ziegler. Benjamin weighed six pounds, 7.3 ounces and was 20 inches long. He joins a sister, Alexis, 2. The family will receive a shower of gifts from area merchants and businesses in addition to a $100 U.S. Savings Bond from the hospital.
