Scarnati returned to leader post

Sen. Joe Scarnati was reelected President Pro Tempore of the Pennsylvania Senate on Tuesday, beginning his second year as the thirdhighest ranking elected official in the Commonwealth.

Scarnati, a Republican, was unanimously elected by Senate colleagues.

He is currently serving his second four-year term representing the residents of the 25th District, which includes all of Cameron, Potter, Elk, Jefferson, McKean and Tioga counties and parts of Clearfield and Warren counties.
