Route 555 section one lane

A section of Rt. 555 near Weedville, Elk County, will remain restricted to one lane due to a mud and rock slide.

The restricted area is located 1.9 miles from the intersection of Rts. 255 and 555 in Jay Township. PennDOT has made interim and placed self-regulating stop signs at each end of the 300-foot stretch, allowing vehicles to travel through one at a time.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane until spring 2008, when permanent repairs can be made.
