Emergency services grants approved

Several volunteer emergency response organizations in the area have qualified for state grants for projects such as construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, equipment purchase or repair, training and debt reduction.

Among the recipients are the following: Cameron County Ambulance Service, $9,969; Emporium Fire Department, $19,000; Sinnemahoning Volunteer Fire Department, $9,969 for EMS operations and $38,000 for fire company operations.

Also, Austin Volunteer Fire Department, $9,969 for EMS operations and $19,000 for fire company operations; Coudersport Volunteer Ambulance Association, $9,969; and Coudersport Volunteer Fire Department, $19,309.
