Ulysses man jailed on rape, assault charges

Sixty-year-old Kenneth R. Mack of Ulysses has been charged with numerous counts of rape, aggravated indecent

assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and sexual assault for incidents that were alleged to have occurred between June 1 and Aug. 31 last summer.

The victims had been undergoing respite care at the Mack residence, according to a report from state police.. Both alleged victims have been diagnosed as having mental deficiencies.

Mack was arraigned and is being held in Potter County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled Monday.
