Public employees support meals program A financial donation from public employees in Potter County has helped the Area Agency on Aging build its supply of "blizzard boxes." Those are the nonperishable, self-contained meals that are used by clients of the home-delivered meals program when weather conditions interrupt deliveries of fresh meals. The agency received a cash donation from a union representing laborers from Coudersport Borough, PennDOT, the Pa. Forestry Bureau and other state organizations. The Area Agency on Aging relies heavily on volunteers around Potter County to deliver meals to its clients. Additional donations for the blizzard boxes are welcome and can be sent to Area Agency on Aging, 62 North St., P.O. Box 241, Roulette PA 16746. |
