Local writer joins Endeavor News editorial team

Emporium native James Moate has joined the Endeavor News editorial team full time.

A 2004 graduate of Cameron County High School, Moate began as a parttime writer and photographer for "The Endeavor" last July.

James "beats" include the Cameron County School Board, Emporium Borough Council, Cameron County Commissioners, criminal court proceedings and police news.

In high school, Moate participated in golf and wrestling. After school, he took writing and graphic design courses at Clarion University.

Moate has always had "an interest in the arts, particularly music."
