Soungwriters Roundtable returning

Plans are in place for the return of the Songwriters Roundtable in 2008, with a mix of professional and local musicians and artists.

Organizer Steve Quelet reports that several changes are in store this year, including songwriting workshops and some tie-ins with the "Music and Stars" program at Cherry Springs Stare Park.

The Roundtable will again be hosted by Steve Quelet and Eppie Bailey of Jakob's Hollow, with the work of regional artists and artisans on display at the performance venue in the Ski Denton lodge.

It will get underway on Saturday, May 10, with an open stage fund-raiser, featuring a surprise performer.

Also on this year's schedule: June 13, Music and Stars at Cherry Springs State Park; June 14, Red Molly and Cornpone Sally; July 11 and many other acts.
