Fat Tuesday feast planned

Austin United Methodist Church presents its second annual Fat Tuesday Feast on Feb. 5 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the social hall on Turner Street.

A smorgasbord will include beef, ham, turkey, pork, and several other main courses, side dishes and desserts. A King Cake will also be served, in Fat Tuesday tradition.

Mardi Gras beads will be distributed and information on the Christian roots of Fat Tuesday will be presented.

Cost is $7.00 for adults, $3.50 for children age 5-11; those under five are free. Takeouts are available. Tickets are available at the door or by Gloria at 647-8947.
