Chamber looking into health insurance Coudersport Area Chamber of Commerce is surveying its 130 members to determine their health insurance needs. Chamber directors hope to have in place a group plan that would allow affiliates to save money on their health insurance premiums while still providing thorough coverage of their employees. Each Chamber member has received a questionnaire and is asked to return it immediately to the Chamber office on East Second Street, according to President Stan Swank. "After we have compiled the information on our members' needs, we expect to move forward and request specific pro- posals from health insurance providers with the goal of having such a service available to our members later in the year," Swank said. In other business, the Chamber has decided to change the time of its monthly membership meetings to noon. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at the Hotel Crittenden. A lunch buffet is available for $6.00. The Chamber's Merchants Group is continuing plans for the second annual Coudersport Easter Festival, as well as a return of the summertime Saturdays on the Square series. Details will be announced. |
